Hope you like these new stamp frames with letters and shapes. I used my little cute nephew Martin as a model once again. Now the easiest way to use the frames is to make a mask, and this is a tutorial for PSP 9. (And Joann you can skip this part, because you are already an expert in using masks):

1. Open the white photo frame

2. In the menu chose "Layer", "New mask layer", "From image", and make sure that "Source luminance" is ticked

3. Click "OK". If you look at your layers, you can see there is now two new layers ("Group layer" and "Mask layer").

4. Make a new layer between the Mask layer and the bottom layer with your white photo frame. Name this layer "Photo".

5. Open the photo you are going to use, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste the photo into the new "Photo" layer. Select the photo with your "Raster Deform tool" (hit "D"), and now you can resize and move your photo around, until it fits your mask.

6. Chose "Layers", "Merge" and "Merge visible".

7. Apply a drop shadow if you like.

If you use Photoshop, go to this page for a mask tutorial:

A dear friend showed me a gorgeous layout with some transparent frame tabs and I wanted to make some too,
so here they are - 14 different colors.

Someone asked for a tutorial on making holes for stamps like on the frames above, so I made this tutorial for PSP.

Tutorial on making holes for stamps using the vector drawing tools in PSP 9

I know that most people just make a line of dots and then delete the area on the white stamp, but then you get some ugly jagged edges around the dots, so that is why I use  a mask instead. Sorry, but I am sort of picky about edges - LOL.

Another easier option to get smooth edges is
to use  "feather" after deleting the dots. Here you can see the difference between just deleting the dots and using a mask:

If you are looking for a PS stamp tutorial, it can be found here: http://papierstudio.blogspot.com, and if you want a tutorial for PS Elements you can use this link http://www.scrappersguide.com

Now, if you are more of the "Lego" type, you might like to build your own stamps instead, so here is a DIY kit for you with holes, corners, borders etc. Use a black background when "building", and put each part in its own layer, it will make things easier.

And last but not least, if you just want those frames below, click on the images to download..... :-)

You know that I like fonts and word art, and I came across this little drop cap "Y" from a link at Juno's place (I  am so curious, I have to check out everything - LOL).

The drop cap page is made by typographer and illustrator Jessica Hische and there is a new initial cap almost every working day. I especially loved this "Y" as you can see, but there is much more to see at her page.

I was looking for some garden signs and found these lovely letters sold at VivaTerra. The letters are made of old soda, juice, and soup can metal - how cute.

Now I only hope, that my plants can read!

Rammeme asked about a tutorial on making ceramic tiles, so if someone else want to use it too, it can be found here: http://www.4shared.com/document/zl-vNJG1/Ceramic_tile_tutorial.html

Found this funny wedding photo at the web.

Apparently is just a fake wall, and they the bride and groom pose in the two large frames. Real pictures of family and friends are put in the small frames. Guests can also pose in empty frames, becoming, as the bride put it, part of the family history. I think this is a very cool idea, and it could easily be done in a digital version too.

Some free traditional elegant fonts:
Champignon Regency Als script Windsong Porcelain Quilline script thin

A lot of scrappers have asked about the font "Mr Leopolde" (the one I used for the envelope templates), and someone found the font for free on this site http://www.eaglefonts.com/, also the font "Carpenter Script" should be found there.

This heart shaped freebie with silhouettes of different old and new keys comes in both a black and a red version, and also in two versions with a single key in a different color.

Being a Scandinavian I prefer simple, clean Nordic design without a lot of fuss. That doesn't mean that I hate vintage style though, so Michelle inspired me to make some quick pages similar to the wedding photo I posted last week. After a while I got sort of "carried away" and thought that it could be funny to add some other elements like a cuckoo clock, a lamp or some decorative plates - like on a real wall in your old aunts house - LOL. A very good friend of mine - Elaine - even got involved collecting different vintage plates and dishes from the web, so now I have a huge collection of vintage style plates.

Later I found out that it might be nice, if people were able to apply their own backgrounds as well. Some might not like the paper I chose, and the walls looks very different depending on the paper you use. Personally I prefer the top left paper from Lynn G, which makes me think of the 50's, or maybe the white wooden paper from W&W, which
is a bit more "summer cottage". The red gingham paper signals "country kitchen" and the romantic rose wallpaper is more like "grandma's bedroom". Looking at the small pictures above, I feel almost like peeking into the different rooms of a dollhouse - LOL.

So instead of making traditional quick pages, I ended up making lots of different "vintage walls", where you can apply both your own pictures and your own background paper. I had so much fun making these walls, so I thought you might like a sneak peek at some of the walls I made so far. They will be up for download next week, and there will be lots of different walls to chose from. Credit: I used background paper from W&W, Gina Miller, st, Viviane and Lynn G.

Hope you like the vintage walls above. I decided to share the collection of frames and plates too, so now you can make your own walls too. :-)

The plates and frames were all found on the web, so mind that they are different in size/dpi/quality. However I try to collect as large pictures as possible, so they should all be adequate in size to use in a 300dpi 3600x3600 pixel layout.

There is about 40 different plates, so I split the file into two because of the large size.

On very few freebies (the cuckoo clock and the oval ornamented frame) there is a slight drop shadow, otherwise there is no shadows. I did however use drop shadows on the walls in order to make the plates and frames stand out a bit on the background paper.

All the vintage wall bags contains 3 different walls, except the "Vintage walls #5" bag which contains only one wall (as shown in the preview). There are no backgrounds included in any of the bags. Mind that the file size is approx. 25 MB, so it takes a bit to download.

Of course you can add other items to your walls, I thought about adding an old electric light switch, that would be fun too, and make the wall look even more realistic.

Tip: You will discover that there is actually two color
layers for the bottom paper, and it is made that way because the bottom paper on this template is a bit dark.
So if you used only one paper layer with blend mode "multiply" the color would end up being a bit too dark.

But if you paste your paper into both layers  (one layer with blend mode "multiply" and the other with blend mode "overlay") it looks much  better. Move the opacity sliders
up or down to obtain the right opacity on each layer depending on the paper you use.

Drica asked for a tutorial on folded paper (like the one
above left), so here it is: Folded paper tutorial

I use a plug-in called AV Bros. Page Curl 2.0 from
  http://www.avbros.com/. The plug-in costs 50 USD and
can be used with both PSP and PS, but you can easily
  make the folds without it.

For the folded paper templates #2 and #3, I folded and
scanned a paper and then turned it into a template,
same technique as shown here: http://scrapbookideas

Okay, so I couldn't resist having these cute little fish swimming on my page. Click on the gadget to feed them. You can find them and other gadgets here: http://abowman.com/
A friend of mine asked if I could make this butterfly shape out of pearls, so here it is (you might like to add lines between the small pearls forming the body and the tip
of the antennae if you like). The butterfly comes in 7 different colors + 1 grey scale. Tip: Using gradients to recolor looks nice.
