It is rather difficult to make string look realistic, except of course when you scan a real piece of string. However this is one of the best string tutorials I have seen in a very long time:

The string looks very realistic indeed, almost like a round shoe lace string.

So go there and learn it - it is very easy, and even though the tutorial is for PSP, you can easily use it for other programs as well. You can se my green string to the left!

I got information about this very nice PSP frame tutorial a couple of days ago, and tried it myself. I just love to learn new stuff, and this is such a cool way to make frames.

I first made a basic gold frame, and then I aged it by adding extra old wood texture and some cracks. 
Finally I added an (aged) photo using some of 
the photo textures from my page 9.

I use these little scrolls when adding small pieces of text 
to a layout, but you can of course use them as you like. There are ten different paper scrolls + one empty white scroll + the red/white string included in this bag.

If you are an old hound dog like me, I am sure that you remember your first mixed tape? Now you can apply some retro style to your layouts with these realistic looking tapes, which comes in lots of different retro colors - as 
well as in a .PSD and a .PSP template, where you can add your own colors. There are also empty stickers and even some tape spaghetti attached.....

If you use the templates, all you have to do is paste your own color into the color layers. You can then add your text, images or photos, by pasting them into the "sticker color" layer. 

One grey scale .PNG disc is also attached (+ sticker and the metal piece), if you prefer to recolor this way instead. Below you can see some of the discs I made.

This paper cup alpha is made with the font "Cheri", which 
is one of my favorite fonts.

Dear friends and digi scrappers, 

I am afraid, that it is now time to say good-bye and thank you very much. During the last 3 years I have made more than 500 freebies and had approx. 1 million downloads, so that is pretty amazing. 

I have been in contact with people from all over the world, and I have learned so much during this whole journey into the digi scrapping world. I have had a wonderful time making freebies, and I got a few very good friends too, so I feel really blessed and privileged. 

Thanks so much to all my faithful readers for your memorable comments and e-mails, I have enjoyed reading them all. You fabulous  ladies (and a few good men) really rock, and made it all worth while. Thanks also for all the awards, links, articles and stuff, I really appreciate that. 

However it is very time consuming to spend so many hours making freebies, and lately it sadly felt more like a job than before, so that is why I am saying good bye now. It is also hard to find inspiration sometimes, and I wish to spend more time with my husband, the kitties and my friends. And who knows, hopefully there is still some unknown adventures waiting for me out there too - LOL.

I will keep all the freebie links available for quite a long time ahead, but eventually they will be deleted, so make sure to download while you can. In the future I will only maintain the more "private" parts of our webpage, but you are of course still welcome to stop by now and again, just don't expect any more freebies..........
