Thank you SO MUCH for all the nice comments I have received this week - LOL - that really made my day!

And now a new "Friday freebie"! This time you get the two frames to the left with the red/white yarn and also these two frames decorated with lace. All  frames are available in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Shabby_frames_2.html http://www.4shared.com/Shabby_frames_3.html

To celebrate a total of more than 50.000 downloads, I decided to make two new sets of "Shabby frames", as so many of you guys liked the first ones - LOL! The frames are available in .png format, and are made in the same style and size, so you can mix and match as you like.

These small bits of cotton "Lace" comes in .png format in 12 different colors. If you play around with the layer blend mode properties and opacity, your lace will get a completely different look depending on your background.

I have never really worked with lace before, but it is so much fun! Here are a few tips:

1. If you have a picture with white lace on a black background, set your layer blend properties to "screen" and the black background will become almost invisible. This works best if the lace layer is on a darker background.

2. If you have a picture with colored lace on a white background, set your layer blend properties to either "multiply" or "darken". This works best if the lace layer is on a lighter background.

3. You can of course remove the background from the lace picture using the "PNG optimizer" (File, Export, PNG optimizer), but it is a little tricky as the background must be exactly the same color to make it perfect.

I really like the vintage ecru colored lace, but you can find a lot of lace on the web, here is one of my favorite links:

http://www.mendes.co.uk/

http://www.4shared.com/Cotton_lace.htm

This "Vintage QP" comes in .png format and the file size is 2500x2500 pixels.

This is a very small freebie with only 3 pieces of string, but I needed a bit of string for some tags......

http://www.4shared.com/Pieces_of_string.html
I received a parcel from my mother-in-law on Sunday, and this small copper heart tag was attached to it. I scanned it and added some digital verdigris to make it look a bit older.
If you download, you will get both the original copper heart and this aged one in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Copper_heart.html
Time for another Friday freebie. These frames are in .png format and decorated with satin bows.

http://www.4shared.com/Shabby_frames_4.html

These satin bows are quite big in size, so I have split them into two .png files, but I am afraid that they still take some time to download.

Download part 1 here

Download part 2 here

However you can save a lot of time by just downloading the single red bow here and recolor like this:

In PaintShopPro 9.0:

1. Chose "Adjust", "Hue and saturation", "Hue/ saturation/lightness

2. Move the sliders until the bow gets the color you want

In Adobe Photoshop7.0:

1. Chose "Image", "Adjustments", "Hue/saturation"

2. Move the sliders until the bow gets the color you want

Time for the weekly Friday freebie - hope you will like yet another version of the "Shabby frames" in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Shabby_frames_5.html
This is a pretty long piece of satin ribbon in grey scale .png format, so you can recolor yourself. A small piece of the ribbon is shown here in red color.

http://www.4shared.com/Satin_ribbon.html

Here are some of the eggs in a box. You can apply a little darken brush to part of the egg to make it look more realistic depending on where you use it.

Okay, so Easter is coming up and you might need some realistic eggs. Here are 15 different bird eggs in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/eggs.html
Happy Easter to everyone and thanks SO much for all the nice comments I have received, I really appreciate that. Your comments, funny little stories and encouragement is really what keeps me going. :-)

This cream colored lace frame with satin ribbon in the middle is quite big (almost 3600x3600 pixels), so you can resize it if you like. The frame is in .png format, and it is a little difficult to show the details, but to the right you can have a peek.

http://www.4shared.com/Cream_coloured_lace_frame.html

Just in time before Easter! I tried to come up with a layout, where I could use one of the eggs I made earlier.

If you download the "Easter poem frame", you will also get this "Floral frame". Both frames are in .png format with green ribbons and an antique jewelry pin attached.

http://www.4shared.com/file/Easter_poem_frame.html

For information the small Easter poem reads:

Easter duck and Easter chick, Easter eggs with chocolate thick. Easter hats for one and all, Easter Bunny makes a call! Happy Easter always brings, such a lot of pleasant things.

This is another version of the Easter frame above, but with the pink colors and the cute little bunny it gets a more "girly" look.

I made this frame both with and without the bunny and the Easter poem which reads:

Happy Easter

Rabbits soft and cuddly
Baby chickens, too.
Easter eggs for baskets
White and pink and blue.

Easter cards of greeting,
Music in the air,
Lilies just to tell us
It's Easter everywhere.

Download both frames in .png format here:

http://www.4shared.com/Easter_bunny.html

So did you like the lace on the Easter frames above? Download 12 different pieces in .png format in subtle colors here:

This 3600x3600 size QP in .png format has 3 lace frames with string stitches in the middle.

This is the first time I have worked with glass beads, and it was so much fun. This metal alpha in .png format is based on the free font "Doodle kid", and contains lower-case letters and numbers + a few other signs decorated with heart-shaped glass beads in different colors.

http://www.4shared.com/Glass_bead_alpha.html
These frames are based on one of the folded paper brushes from http://ubersuper.com, be sure to check out the other cool brushes there. This bag contains 11 frames in .png format with colored ribbons and 1 grey scale in .psd format. The file is quite big, so I spilt it into two.

Part 1                                  Part 2
I needed some rubber bands and decided to try to scan some myself. This is my first go at this, so please bear with me. This is the ordinary small rubber band, and this bag contains 6 colored, 1 neutral and 3 two-colored rubber bands in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Rubberbands1.html

These rubber bands are also the ordinary small rubber band type, and this bag contains 10 colored, 1 neutral and 3 two-colored rubber bands in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Rubberbands2.html

This is a wider type rubber band, not as transparent as the first one. 12 colored + 1 neutral in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Medium_rubberbands.html

This is the "big brother" of rubber bands, wider than the other two types. I wrapped it around a book and scanned it. 12 colored + 1 neutral in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Large_rubberbands.html

Regarding all the rubber bands: You might not like the colors I chose, but just play around with hue, saturation and lightness and recolor as you like. I recolor most of my bows, ribbons and rubber bands to exactly the color I need in each layout. These colors are fairly strong, but if you adjust the saturation a bit down, they will get more subtle and natural colors.
Have a peek inside your computer with this desktop wallpaper in .png format, size 1024x768 pixel.

Just a small Monday-freebie. Eight slightly textured notes in subtle colors in .png format, nice with a white handwriting or typewriter font, or maybe chalk doodles?

My first try "on the edge"! Thanks  a lot to Jess Gordon from Scrapbook Ideas  for making the great tutorial on curled edges. I will certainly try making more stuff using this technique. Here are 4 different edges, two folded, one curled and one torn and curled. Each edge in .png format comes with no drop shadow at all, drop shadow on the top layer only or drop shadow on both top- and bottom layer.

http://www.4shared.com/Edges.html
You have probably seen something like this before, but I couldn't resist making my own version as well. Put a piece of white paper behind the small plastic tag and write whatever you like.... The tags are made in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Small_plastic_tags.html

While waiting for more serious freebies, I made this frame and safety pin with gum bears..... :-)

http://www.4shared.com/Fun_with_gum_bears.html

The Friday-freebie is a bit early this week, it has become a Tuesday-freebie, but hope you don't mind, as I am so busy later this week.

Thanks a lot for all the nice comments I receive all the time, that means a lot to me. Who doesn't like to be told "You totally rock"? That really makes you smile and feel good on a rainy day!

Here is new version of the shabby frames, this time they are torn too... :-)

http://www.4shared.com/Shabby_and_torn_frame.html

I made this alpha a long time ago. I have always been in love with those funny little Dymo labels, so when I started digi-scrapbooking I of course bought Christina Renee's lovely worn alpha bits, I also bought access to the label maker at Atomic Cupcake, and even tried Acme label writer on the web (which by the way is for free!).

I couldn't work out how people made those Dymo labels, but decided to make my own digital version (instead of cutting real Dymo labels into tiny bits and scanning them), so here it is. There is 10 different colors in .png format.

And for you Danish guys, you will be happy to find the letters "Æ", "Ø" and "Å" in this alpha as well!

http://www.4shared.com/Dymo_fonts.html

I am sure that all the hard core digi-scrappers know how to use them, but if you are a newbie, here are some tips:

1. Layer blend mode "Multiply".
2. Layer blend mode "Luminance (legacy)".
3. Select the edge, add another layer on top of the edge and fill the selection with color, layer blend mode "Multiply".
You can of course also fill the new layer with a pattern instead of a solid color.
4. Layer blend mode "Normal"  - your basic white edge.

Download the 4 new edges shown in the example above here: http://www.4shared.com/Edges_2.html

Download the "Gum bear pills" and frame here:

It has been a very busy week. I have had lots of e-mails from other digi-scrappers, and some of my elements were included in commercial kits sold at http://www.mootwodesigns.com/ and http://shop.3scrapateers.com/

I was also asked to be a member of the CT and sell my stuff at www.scrapmatters.com. I am really honored that somebody will actually sell the stuff I am making. But I am having so much fun with the freebies, and besides I have a very busy schedule, so I really don't have any spare time.

Some of you have asked where I find my tutorials, so I have up-dated my PSP/PS tutorial list on my "Links" page, and added some scrap booking tutorials. Most tutorials are not entirely scrapbook-related however, but there is still some great stuff to learn there. But now for the serious stuff, here are some new freebies for you:

The last of the shabby and torn frames in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Shabby_and_torn2.html
This frame in .png format has room for your own "flower" and maybe the name written in the yellow/white striped area on the seed bag.

http://www.4shared.com/Flower_seeds_frame.html

Go color-crazy with these zipper-strings in .png format. I was inspired by Zoé Cotlenko from Paris, who makes colorful and fun jewelry-pieces with zippers. I bought a bracelet of hers at the V&A museum in London. The zippers comes with or without drop shadow.

http://www.4shared.com/Zipper_border.html
You can use this crumpled paper as a large 3600x3600 px paper, but also resize and use it like a small note. I open and select one of the "Notes subtle colors" from above, and paste the crumpled paper into the note. Resize, add a drop shadow and some staples, and you get a quite different note. Download the crumpled paper here
I made some new frames for photos of our little baby nephew, so thought I would share them with you too. So go ahead and download here:

Baby boy/girl frame                                                            Gingham bow frame

"A Canuck", you asked about a wallpaper for May, so here it is... hope you like it, even if it is a little bit late. :-) A hard disc on the server transferring my files to the web crashed yesterday, so having a bit of trouble there.... Size is 1024x768 and .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/May_wallpaper.html
"ME", you asked about a graph paper overlay, so I made this version for you in .png format, hope you like it. :-) Turn the opacity down, or use another blend mode, it you want the overlay to look different.

http://www.4shared.com/Graph_paper_overlay.html

I have heard that it is NSD today, so I am sure there will be a lots of stuff going on out there on the web. I will probably hang around to get inspiration, or maybe buy some new kits. Thanks SO much for all the nice comments I have received, I really appreciate that. See you next week for more freebies ...... :-)
I am still struggling with those bows, but I am afraid that this is as good as it gets for now.... Bows and ribbons come in 8 different colors in .png format. Download here:

Gingham bows                                                                   Gingham ribbon
The last "Dymo style alphas". I never really intended to make any more, but thought it would be nice with some other colors too.....

http://www.4shared.com/Dymo_alpha2.html
Recolor this cotton lace in .png format, the green lace is only an example. Due to the scanning a few pixels on the edges of the lace becomes a bit lighter than the rest, and therefore this lace looks best on lighter backgrounds.
