"Regilla" asked about some curly ribbons a couple of weeks ago, so here are 8 different curly ribbon templates in .psd format. Apply your own color or pattern on the bottom layer. 6 grey curly satin ribbons in .png format. Change the color to make your ribbons shine with your favorite colors.

Tip: How to make floral silhouettes in PSP:

1. Pick a flower

2. Take a picture of the flower (hold it
    against an even blue sky).

3. Open your image in PSP. In the menu
    chose "Image", "Decrease color
    depth" and "2 colors". Tick
    "Blue
components",
    "Nearest color" and
    "Weighted", and the
     blue sky will now turn
     white, and the
     flower black.

4. Click "OK", and
    your flower
    is finished

I love  polka dots, so I wanted to make my version of them too! These two bags with polka dot papers in .jpg format are a bit shabby with chalked edges, a slight texture and distressed dots. Download here:

Polka dot papers #1                                                            Polka dot papers #2

I just couldn't get enough of those dots, so here are 4 different polka dot frames in .png format (red, blue, green and yellow), not all are shown here. The frames are slightly crumbled with a doodle border, and the center is made from graph paper.

Here are 3 different bracket frames with some stitches added in .png format, again I couldn't let those cute little dots go just yet..... Download here:

Credit: Check out the http://thescrappincop.blogspot.com/ for some really cool bracket brushes (and lots of other goodies too!)
On the web I found the product SnipTape, which is really a joke made by a guy called Kenn Munk. I thought it could be funny to make "frames" similar to SnipTape too, so here they are.... 5 different frames in .png format.

I have been so busy this week, as I went on a small trip to Norway to visit my family last week. I have also displayed most of my freebies at DigiScrapDepot, so you will be able to find links for my freebies there too.
3 pieces of cardboard and slightly worn damask paper in subtle colors. Credit: Action from Atomic cupcake

To avoid that the paper size became very large, I have made them in .jpg format. That means however that the small background visible outside the torn edge is white.

I have just passed 200.000 downloads this week, so here is an extra little crazy Goldfish Alpha I made a while ago. :-)
I have seen lots of alphas filled with glitter, but so far none with water and goldfish! The alpha is made  in .png format and works best on lighter backgrounds, and it is really just a little joke... :-)

... and here I am in Norway two weeks ago....

Whoa, I got this blog award from Leaonna at http://busyscrappin.blogspot.com/, thank you so much, it was a nice surprise. So now I have to post the reward and pass it on to 7 people who deserve it..... But it is SO difficult to chose from all the great blogs out there, so I chose to list some of the amazing blogs I have visited recently:

I suddenly realized that September is not far away, so I just had to hurry and make this wallpaper tonight. I didn't write any dates or month on it, so you can change it as you like or maybe use it as a quick page instead. Size is 1024x768 pixels and .png format.

I am so exited about this weeks freebie - it is a  "Frayed fabric template" - and I hope you guys like it too! Actually it is just a piece of fabric cut from an old sack belonging to the Danish mail services - LOL!

In the freebie bag there is 3 very different frayed fabric examples and one grayscale template, so you can make your own frayed fabric pieces. You can of course just recolor the frayed fabric to get a new colored piece of fabric (that is what I have done on the "September wallpaper"), but you can also apply a pattern like this (I use PSP9):

  1. Open the grayscale template, chose edit and copy
  2. Make a new file (approx. 1700x2200 pixels)
  3. Chose edit, paste, paste as a new selection, and paste your grayscale template into the new file (keep the selection). Chose selection, defloat.
  4. Make a new raster layer on top of the first layer and set the layer blend modes on this top layer to "multiply"
  5. Select a pattern (I chose a green floral pattern I found on the web), and fill it into the selection on the top layer
  6. Chose layers, merge, merge visible
  7. Chose adjust, automatic contrast enhancement (play around with the settings, the layer should be a bit lighter than before)
  8. Chose adjust, automatic saturation enhancement (play around with the settings until you get the right amount of color)

Important: If you don't make the contrast and saturation enhancements, your frayed fabric will look too dark and the colors will be dull.

Tip: You can also use the "One step photo fix" or "Smart photo fix" (available in PSPX and PSPXI) instead of the contrast- and saturation enhancement, the result will be almost the same.

But what is even more cool - you can of course also apply your own photos to the frayed fabric! Look at the photo above, that is my cute little nephew Martin playing with the kitchen tools!

The frayed fabric template is approximately 1600x1900 pixels in size, and .png format. Download here:

http://www.4shared.com/file/61046803/76137958/Frayed_fabric.html

So, I decided to make one more frayed fabric template after all, as I had so much fun with the first one. This bag contains only the grayscale frayed fabric template in .png format, size approx. 1400x1900 pixels. The pink floral fabric on the bag is just an example (the lovely paper used is from http://moriginals.blogspot.com/). Download template here: http://www.4shared.com/Frayed_fabric_2.html

Here are some of the frayed fabric pieces I made myself, so just go crazy and use your imagination..... LOL!

Two cardboard pieces in .png format. Apply your photo to the cardboard like this (I use PSP9):
  1. Open the cardboard piece (you might have to resize it a bit depending on the photo you chose
  2. Make a new layer, and paste your photo into this top layer
  3. Delete areas of the photo, which is outside the area covered by the cardboard
  4. Delete the areas of the photo, which covers the torn cardboard edge, with your eraser tool and a suitable brush
  5. Set the layer blend mode to "overlay" on your top photo layer
  6. Adjust the contrast and saturation on your top photo layer to make the photo look right. In this case I made the photo a bit darker and added a bit of saturation, but it really depends a lot on your photo, so play around with the settings until you get it right
  7. Select the area outside the photo with the magic wand tool, chose selection, modify and feather (size approx. 3-5 pixels) and hit delete a couple of times to make the edges a bit smoother on the photo layer
  8. Merge visible layers

3 different pieces of string. Two grayscale and one red/white colored, so you can recolor yourself. You can see the two other strings below. I used one of them on the Halloween quick page. The tape and staples are for examples only. All strings are available in both .psd format (with drop shadow) and .png format (without drop shadow).

A bit early, but here is a Halloween quick page in .png format. I usually make my papers pretty simple, but you can of course always add more embellishments. The paper overlay is made by Retrodiva

Thanks again for all the nice comments on 4shared.com. "mm" you asked about the "Simple cardboard frames" - but in boys colors, so I have made some for you to download here.

For those not celebrating Halloween - this weeks freebie number two is an "Autumn quick page".

I made 5 different versions of this one, so you can just click the thumbnail to download the one you like. One page has ivy/staples as a decoration, others pieces have string/tape, and two pages are just plain with no decoration, so you can add the embellishments you prefer.

A frame in .png format made of red satin ribbon.

Once again I nearly forgot to make a new wallpaper, but here it is - a bit "old fashion" I guess, but I wanted to use the wooden frame, so this is how it turned out. You can also apply a picture into the small brooch. Size 1024x768 pixels and .png format.

I made the ivy branch for the "Autumn quick page", so I thought I would share that too.... :-)

On 25. of September I received this blog award from Carole at
http://digi-loulous.blogspot.com
. Thank you SO
much Carole, I really appreciate that.

On 2. of September I was  "tagged" by Sue from http://numbbumm.blogspot.com/
Thanks Sue, you are - as always - very kind. So apparently I have to share 7 random and/or weird facts about myself, so here I go:

1. I am a navigator and have a Master's License, which grants me permission to
work as a Captain on the worlds largest vessels.

2. I LOVE fish! Love to eat them, love to snorkel and dive with them, I even
love to clean fresh fish, which is at bit weird I guess.

3. I am a very poor athlete, the only thing I am good at is swimming, but I make some
    pretty mean flip turns.

4. I speak a wee bit "Dhivehi", which is the native language of the Maldives.

5. I usually wear a pair of very ugly red reading glasses when I work with my computer (not unlike "Ugly Betty").
I do need them though, as I can't see anything written with a font smaller than "Ariel 24"!

6. One night my husband found me standing in the living room talking to his black sneakers on the floor. As
mentioned before I don't see too well, so in the darkness I thought the shoes were our two black kittens....

7. Stockholm, Sweden is my favorite shopping-destination, I love all those great interior- and design shops.

Once again it is SO difficult for me to chose from all those great blogs out there, so here are some blogs with tutorials, tips or inspiration, that I have visited recently:
