This M&M style alpha contains lower case letters in 10 different colors (the classic M&M colors and a few more) in .png format. There is one letter template in .psd format included too, so you can make your own colors. I made the white letter with the font GeoSlab703 Md BT, size 200, bold. I then applied a slight cutout to the white letter with the following settings: Vertical and horizontal offset 1, opacity 30, blur 4, shadow color black.

My little nephew loves cars, so I made this freebie with him in mind. This freebie consists of 4 toy car twill curls in .png format with different backgrounds and one straight twill ribbon.

http://www.4shared.com/Toy_cars_twill.html
This bag contains 11 different "Peek-a-boo stamps" in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Peek-a-boo_stamps.html
I liked the toy cars so much, so I wanted to make some paper curls as well, as they have quite a different look
than the twill. A straight paper ribbon is also attached. Everything is made in .png format.

Kerri asked about how to make flair buttons, so I have made these templates in .pspimage and .psd format. There are two different buttons, one more flat than the other. Paste your own color/pattern into the "bottom" layer, and if you want to add a flower, text or something into the button, paste it into the "middle" layer. Merge visible layers and your flair button is finished. Size approx. 600x600 pixel.

http://www.4shared.com/Flair_button_template.html

Apparently these little flair buttons are very popular on Face book, but of course you can also use them for digi scrap booking. This is just an example of what you can do with the flair button templates. But if you like my flair buttons, you can download some of them here: http://www.4shared.com/Flair_buttons.html. Size is approx. 600 x 600 pixels and .png format, most of the buttons above are shown in 25% size.

Hope you like this 3D alpha with uppercase and lowercase letters (including Scandinavian æ,ø and å), numbers and a few signs. The alpha is made in .psd and .pspimage format. Paste your own color or pattern into the "color/pattern" layer, merge visible layers and the alpha is ready. The alpha is based on the free font "Rockwell", and the letters are turned slightly in different directions.

http://www.4shared.com/3D_letter_template.html

Tip: Prior to merging the layers, adjust the lightness on the "shadow" layer up/down to make the shadow more or less visible depending on the color/pattern you use.

A grey scale satin ribbon in .png format, so you can recolor yourself.

http://www.4shared.com/Another_satin_curl.html
Just a few examples to show what the letters look like when you apply textures like wood, rust, cork or stone, but you can of course apply any color or pattern you like - LOL. I made a few more 3D alphas, they are based on the fonts Cheri and Cooper black (click on the font name to download the alphas). They are both big chunky alphas (one is a rounded and serif type font and the other one has sharper edges and sans-serif), and the letters are not turned in different directions like on the "Rockwell" alpha above.

Suzy asked about a solid wood background, and you can download the one I used for the QP on "Page 3" here, or you can check out this site: http://mayang.com/textures/ which has a lot of wonderful textures (not only wood).  And I also know that W&W has a paper pack made by Gina Marie Huff & Danielle Moore (it is called "Delightful papers") which has some very cool wooden papers included.

Ten paper date tags in .png format  showing month and days. The paper is a bit dirty/crumpled and the tag is slightly curled on the upper edge.

http://www.4shared.com/Paper_date_wheel.html
These tags in .png format with different small quotes are slightly bent on the lower left side. The file is pretty large (there is a total of 14 tags), so I split it into two files.

I suddenly realized that I never made any buttons, so I thought I better make some - LOL. I decided first to post these bags which contains 30 buttons in .png format each, and next week I will then post 16 different button templates in .pspimage and .psd format, so you can make your own buttons, with the colors/patterns you like. So hopefully you will come back next week too - LOL.  Below you can see some of the buttons up close.

20 button templates in .pspimage format.

http://www.4shared.com/PSP_button_templates.html
20 button templates in .psd format

http://www.4shared.com/PSD_button_templates.html

Okay, so I better explain how to use these button templates.

Basically it works the same way in PS and PSP. You open the template and paste your own color or pattern into the layers named "color". Some buttons have two "color" layers and you can either paste the same color/pattern into both layers (this will make the color/pattern more intense), or use two different colors (which will then blend with each other).
I have pasted a random color into the color "layer", so you can easily see the layers you are going to use.

You can also change the opacity of the "color" layers up/down depending on the color you use, the settings I made is just a guideline. When you are satisfied with the result, merge visible layers, and your button is ready to use. And as you can see to the right, it is just as easy to paste any kind of pattern into the buttons.

Tip: I found that if you use a circular gradient fill in PSP instead of a solid color, you can make some pretty cool buttons. I know there is also gradients for PS, I am just not familiar with how to use and install them. Some nice gradients for PSP can be found on this page:
http://pjentoft.com/pjs-psp8-gradients.html

Download the gradients, unzip them and save them into your PSP gradient folder.

Oh, and BTW there will not be 16 button templates in the bags, as I wrote earlier. I added 4 buttons, so there will be 20 instead - LOL.

It has been a while since I made a QP, but I liked these green and purple colors. I made the page quite simple,
but you can always add more embellishments if you like.

http://www.4shared.com/Floral_QP.html
The ribbon I used on the QP is available here. As you can see the satin curl is quite large, so you can easily split it into smaller pieces. It is made in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Large_satin_curl.html

Thanks to Beth Santos-Gugol one of my freebies (a folded frame) was displayed in this months issue of Digital artist magazine. So of course I just had to buy the magazine to look at it - LOL. Thanks also to all the wonderful digi scrappers who have been writing comments in my guestbook, on e-mail or on 4shared.com, I really appreciate that.
10 plastic book plates in .png format in bright colors

10 plastic book plates in .png format in muted colors.

http://www.4shared.com/Plastic_bookplates2.html

Just wanted to show you how the book plates look, when you apply different fonts.

BTW have you tried to make your own font yet? I tried it on this page: http://www.fontifier.com, and it was so much fun. It costs 9 USD. Too bad that my handwriting really stinks though! If you (against my better judgment) still want my handwriting font, you can download it below. My font has Danish letters, numbers and a couple of signs.

Download Gunhilds_handwriting font

OBS! I had to remove the link to the fonts I found on the web earlier, as the site was not safe. However here are some nice fonts too:

There is a "single" and a "double" fringed paper template in .png format included in this bag. Use them like this:

1. Make new file, size approx. 2000x2000 pixels, 300 dpi

2 Copy the template you prefer, and paste it into your new file. Keep the selection.

2. Make a new layer with layer blend mode "Multiply" and paste your own color/pattern the selection on this layer. In this case I used a yellow paper from Gina Miller.

3. Merge the visible layers.

4. Copy and paste your fringed paper into your LO.

20 different dog tags in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Dog_tag.html

Now, you might prefer to make your own text on the dog tags, so I made this "DIY dog tags" kit for you. This kit contains the alpha I used, a tutorial and a font (for easy aligning the text). Do like this (tutorial is also included in the kit):

1. Open the dog tag you want to use (there is a gold, silver and bronze version in .png format attached)

2. Make a second layer, and write the text you want on you tag. Use the font "Square721 BT", size 90, stroke 5,0, bold. It doesn't matter what color you choose (black or grey is not so good though), as this layer will be deleted later. The layer is just meant as a reference, to make it easier to position your letters correct.

If you don't have the "Square721 BT" font on your computer, you will first have to install it in your C:\Windows\fonts folder. The font is attached too.

4. Make a third layer

5. Copy the individual letters from the file "Dog tag letters" file and paste them into the third layer. Make sure to position each letter, so they are in the same position as the letters on the layer beneath.

6. Delete the second layer, where you wrote your text.

7. Merge visible layers

These letter cubes in .png format are not as "extruded" as the ones on the right, and for your information the small knot in the wood is removed on the cubes you get - LOL.

http://www.4shared.com/letter_cubes.html
These letter cubes in .png format have an animal silhouette on the top side of each cube (A=Alligator, B=Butterfly, C=Cat etc.)  In this case  I left the knot in the wood on some of the cubes, but removed it on most of them.

http://www.4shared.com/Letter_cubes_deco.html

In each of the two bags above I also attached 3 plain wooden cubes in .png, .psd and .pspimage format, so you can add your own letters/decorations. In the .psd and .pspimage files you can just paste your letter into the top "letter layer" (layer blend mode is already set to "multiply"). For the cubes above I used the font "Bookman Old Style", size 350, stroke width 5 and bold. The colored square is contracted by 20 pixels from the max. size of the cube front. If there is a colored border (like the one surrounding the letter "X"), it has a width of 40 pixels. On the .pspimage and .psd files the selection covering the whole cube front is already saved to an alpha channel, so you can just load the selection, and it is easy to contract and work on with the cube. I only made letters A-Z, but now you can easily make your own special letters, signs and numbers.
Remember those puzzle foam mats for kids? My nephew
has some to play with on the floor. So I thought it could
be fun to make them into numbers and letters. Here are numbers 0-9 and some signs made in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/Foam_mat_numbers.html
Foam mat letters A-Z in .png format. The letters (and also the numbers to the left) are slightly "extruded" to look 3D. The letters and numbers have a slight "foam-mat-texture" and the colors are chosen to look like the real foam mats.

http://www.4shared.com/Foam_mat_letters.html

http://www.4shared.com/DIY_foam_mats.html

The DIY kit with 56 different interlocking foam mat letters (letters A-Z) in .png format, a .pspimage template and a .psd template, so you can make your own foam mats using the colors you like. Paste your own color/pattern into the "color" layer, and  paste your letter into the "letter layer". I used font "Bookman Old Style", size 300, stroke width 5 and bold.

Make the letters interlock with each other like this:

1. Paste each letter in its own layer. The first letter in your word goes into the top layer, next letter in the layer below etc. etc.

2. Move the letters as close as possible. There will be some tiny gaps between the letters, but use your "liquefy" or "warp" tool and gently drag part of the letter to close the gap.

If you want to write A-B-C, you first paste "A" in your top layer. Paste "B" into the next layer below "A", and gently use your "warp" or "liquefy" tool to make the left side of  "B" fit into the right side of "A". Do not touch "A". Paste "C" into your third and lowest layer, and again use your "warp" or "liquefy" tool to make the left side of "C" interlock with the right side of "B". It is easier if you use a black background, then you can see the tiny gaps. If you do it this way, the edges between each letter will be perfect. Of course you can also make the foam mat letters cross each other like in a crossword puzzle.

Please note that these letters are not "extruded" like the ones above and beneath. So if you want to "extrude" them after making your own words, you will have to use a plug-in like "Alien skin", or another similar tool.

And for those of you, who are not into that "DIY" thing, I made some interlocked foam mat words (baby, girl, boy, heart, play, fun, joy, precious, princess, prince, my, kids, toys, cool, cute, cutie pie, giggle, laugh, live, learn, love, hello, sleep, smile, sweet and tiny). Download here:

Please don't forget to leave some love when you download, it really means a lot to me......... :-)

A while ago someone asked for photo corners, so here
they are. These old style photo corners are made of
leather or fabric and would probably look nice on some heritage- or vintage layouts. There is a total of 20 photo corners in .png format in this bag.

These paper photo corners in .png format are made of old paper, postcards, envelopes and bits of newspaper and they have a slight drop shadow added. There is a total of 20 photo corners in this bag.

Tip: I used some new gorgeous textures for both the leather photo corners and the paper photo corners above, and found them on this site: http://lostandtaken.com/. A very good friend told me about the site, and I am reluctantly passing the link on (I would rather like to keep these goodies to myself - LOL), but this guy is just so talented and really deserves the credit.
The last fringed paper template in .png format. Use it like the one above. There is both a "single" and a "double" template included. Size is a bit smaller than 3600x3600 pixels.

Below you can see a small piece of felt, with different colors applied.

I have been looking for a nice felt texture, but didn't find any, so ended up making this one myself. However when I applied color, it didn't work out the way I wanted to. The felt texture was either not visible enough or the felt turned out way too dark. So after a while I ended up with the small tutorial below. This way you will be able to make nice felt items, no matter what color you chose. Just adjust the opacity on the color layers up/down until you get it right. In this bag there are two felt textures, one with the contrast slightly adjusted, which is the one I used for the cats below. Download the felt textures here: http://www.4shared.com/Felt_texture.html

Tip: If you want a "fuzzy" felt edge, there is a great tutorial here:  http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#2AiMLC/www.flergalicious.com/blog?p=134/topic:Computers

So I tried the felt texture out by making 8 different felt
cat circles and 8 felt cat badges. Hopefully you will be
able to "feel" the felt texture in this freebie - LOL.

A 3 photos cluster frame in .png format.

http://www.4shared.com/3_photos_cluster_frame.html
Lyn asked a while ago for a curled frame tutorial or some curled frame templates, so I made both. Here are 9 frames in .png format, each is slightly curled. You can use the frames together as is, or cut each frame out and use it as a single frame. The tutorial is found just below...

http://www.4shared.com/9_curled_frames.html
Rebecca asked for some Halloween stuff, so here are a few items. It is mostly flairs - but also a couple of buttons and some tickets, all in .png format. You can see some of the flairs on the preview below.

http://www.4shared.com/Halloween_flairs.html

I'll explain just a bit more about the curled photo frames. First of all there is probably lots of different ways to do this, so this is just one option. I use *Av. Bros Page Curl Pro 2.2 for making curls, and it is a very nice plug-in, which can be used together with several photo editing programs. It costs 50 USD, so if you can spare the money, I think it is worth it, because it makes it SO easy to make perfect bends and curls. Otherwise use the "warp", "liquefier", "deform" or any other appropriate tool to make the curled frame.

If you look at picture #4 above, you can see the black shadow layer below the photo frame. I didn't change anything on this layer, and the cool thing is that after I made the curl on the white frame, the black shadow layer already shows me more or less where the shadow should be. What I did to make it just a bit more interesting (see picture #5) was to turn the white frame slightly (2 deg.) to the left, and I then used the "deform" tool to drag the black shadow a bit down and to the right. This way the photo frame seems to "pop-out" and curl a bit more. If you want the shadow to be more discreet, just let it be as it is.

Tip: Apply some "Gaussian blur" to the black shadow layer before merging the visible layers, if you want the shadow to look a bit softer.

I am currently trying out a new HTML-editor, so there might be some minor inconveniences the next few months. Hopefully you won't see any difference at all, however it will take me a while to learn how to use the new software.

I like being able to edit the HTML code myself, but I also prefer to use software, which is not too complicated. I know that most people today don't worry about HTML, but I am afraid that I am the old-fashioned type, who likes to be in control of the entire page myself - LOL. When I made my first homepage back in 1999, I knew absolutely nothing about this HTML language stuff. But thanks to Dr. Joe Burns from Ohio and his webpage "HTML-goodies", I learned everything step by step and had so much fun at the same time. I love the story about how Mr. Burns "traded a guy the use of his computer for a month in exchange for taking care of his cats" - LOL. Read the amusing story about the birth of HTML-goodies here: http://www.htmlgoodies.com
