Cats III
The page "Cats II" has been very large. So now we are extending with a new page "Cats III" which starts on the 1st of October 2007.
Here is Minus lying at the fence yawning.
Much has happened since we got the two small kittens on the 1st of May 2005.
Here you can see how they have changed during the 2 1/2 years.
Arrgh, it has been so long since I have
posted new pictures of the cats. I have been working at my "Scrap booking
freebies" most of the time, so I haven't really had time to maintain
this page. But anyhow, both cats are well. They have been fighting with
other cats a lot all through the fall, with subsequently visits to the vet.
So far they have only suffered from minor scratches, luckily no serious
wounds. At the end we had to remove their food when we are away from the
house, to prevent other cats from going into the house and eating their food.
Too bad it has to be this way, but it was necessary.
Here is Jugi in the garden. Finally a day with sunshine and blue sky. If you look carefully, you can see parts of the new daffodils, which are already on the way.
The two "kittens" are still going strong, and they are looking forward to playing in the garden during springtime.
Felix has been fighting a lot with other cats during winter, and even Minus had to go to the vet once after a fight.
Unfortunately we have still have problems
with stray cats going into our house. They pee in the house, and eat our cat food, so since Christmas the
cat food is now put aside, while we are out.
Hope that the cats will eventually learn to "defend" their house
and prevent other cats from coming in.
Here above is the crazy cat - Minus - and below his more clever brother Felix. They are sitting on the top of a cherry three, which has been cut down. We tried to take a picture of them together, but it is really difficult.
The neighbor is outside working, and the cats are listening to what he is doing. Finally I succeeded in taking a picture of them together! Looking forward to my husband is coming home in a few days, he is much better taking photographs than me!
The cats are waiting for their new "look-out-shelves" to be built, and in the meantime they use our garden bench to keep proper lookout.
So here is the guy that 10 years ago didn't really like cats, and was a bit afraid of their claws!

I can't believe that it has several months
since my last post, so here are some September photos of Minus and Felix.
They are both still going strong, as you can see. Below you can see Felix
sitting on one of the shelves Svenning has made for the cats, they really
love sitting there watching the whole garden. The next picture is Minus
keeping lookout on a rainy day, you can see he is all wet at his back.
It has been so long since I last posted a picture of one of the cats, the freebies seems to take all my time, and I forget all the rest of the pages - LOL. But here is a new picture at last. Svenning took the picture of Minus in the garden a few days ago, he is sooooo cute isn't he???
Felix got a nasty abscess on his left back side after a fight with another cat approx. a week ago. So of course we had to go to the vet AGAIN, and they removed the inflammation and put in a drain tube. Today the drain tube has been removed and Felix is feeling good again. Hopefully he will stop fighting and relax for a little while, making our vet bills a bit cheaper!
It has been so long since I last posted
some pictures of the cats, but here are some brand new ones. Above Felix is
keeping lookout for birds and mice in the garden. The cats really enjoy the
nice spring weather. A few weeks ago my sister was visiting from Sweden,
and both cats slept with her in the bed - LOL. They are so loving and
sweet, and I am sure they could recognize my sister from her last visit.

Felix is looking for birds and butterflies.
Minus is sitting on one of the shelves we made last year, the yellow stuff
behind him is a forsythia bush.
So of course I had to try http://www.photofunia.com with pictures of the cats too - LOL, so here they are both of them.
Felix has been fighting again, so I have to
take him to the vet tomorrow. He has a nasty wound and a boil on his belly, and I guess
he need some antibiotics.
So just 3 days after our last visit to the vet, Minus got sick as well, so once again we had to visit the vet. Minus had a large boil on his back - so obviously he has been fighting like his brother too. Hopefully both cats will keep a low profile for a while, otherwise it will be a very expensive month - LOL. Svenning took this picture today, isn't it lovely? I think I can nearly smell the flowers.........

his new camera, doesn't he look cute? Weather has been warm and sunny and
most nights he sleeps outside, but now and then he comes in to have a snack
or two - LOL.

It has been so long since I posted some pictures of the cats, so here is Felix lying on one of the shelves in the garden. Summer has been both sunny and rainy this year, but the cats seems to have enjoyed every bit of it anyhow. They like to stay out all night and sleep under the bushes, only coming inside the house to get some food now and then.
Svenning and Minus is playing with a piece of grass. They can play for hours together, and usually Minus goes inside the house and calls for Svenning to come out and play with him - LOL.

It is really funny (be sure to watch the movies, if you are a cat lover like
me - LOL).
Minus is hiding under a tree because of the
rainy weather. He is so busy keeping lookout for those birds, even when it
is pouring down. We have had a hawk visiting our garden lately, and it
chased several minor birds against our windows and killed them. So after a
short while the cats found out that the big bang on the windows meant that
there were birds outside and they eagerly rushed to the door to get
"part of the action" - LOL.
Finally a nice picture of Felix. He usually
doesn't like to be taken pictures of, but Svenning caught him off guard for
just a second, and took this picture.
Both cats are keeping lookout. The surely
love those shelves we made for them, a perfect spot to overlook the
garden.....
Autumn in just around the corner. Falling
leaves and Halloween. Luckily we have our own black Halloween cats to spook
around the house. This is Felix having a nap outside in the garden.........

It has been ages since I posted some new pictures, but here are some new shots Svenning took today.
The cats are doing very well, they caught
both a mouse and a bird last week and chased the mouse under my washing
machine and made such a fuzz, that I had to get up at 06.00 in the morning
to get rid of it. Minus attacked a roll of toilet paper as well, and managed
to spread it all over the bathroom, while I was having a shower. Felix had
his first visit to the vet this year (he had a sore paw, probably from a
fight with another cat), but he was okay after having some antibiotics. They
have had an occasional flea too, so they have been treated for that as well.
Felix is really skinny this summer, as he he is keeping busy chasing other
cats away and hunting for birds and mice. Minus is a bit more lazy, and he
also eats almost anything that comes his way (including the stuff caught by
Felix), so he is not exactly skinny - LOL. Just now both Minus and Felix are
enjoying the nice summer weather. In the pictures above Minus is playing
with a grass straw, and Felix is keeping lookout.
It is nice just to relax in the garden, and even though they sometimes fight, these two brothers are usually good friends.
After a long winter the grass is now growing like crazy, and Felix enjoys having a nap in the garden.
Minus like to stay in the shadow to keep cool in the summer time.
Please don't disturb me by taking photos - I am keeping lookout for birds in the garden!

Felix was just awake after taking a nap, when Svenning caught him just in the right moment showing all those dangerous teeth. It looks so funny when cats are yawning, they get this totally crazy look in their face.

Minus is now fully grown, and he is
finally "The king of the street". Okay, some might think that he
is fat, but my husband says that he is just a "Danish muscle cat"
- LOL.
Felix is relaxing after dinner. Both cats
like to have a nap at the terrace during summertime.
